6 HRS OF FORT YARGO RACE REPORT

 

"Pain is a big fat creature riding on your back. The farther you pedal, the heavier he feel."

Team SGC had a great turn out this past weekend at the 6 Hour Series MTB race held at Fort Yargo State Park in Winder,Ga.  SGC was well represented by six of our top MTB'ers, Team support was provided by Merritt and side kick Zaxby. GSC Series #2 - Flat rock park-columbus,ga
The second GSC mountain bike race was held this past weekend (4-13-08).  SGC was represented by six of our top MTB'ers Steve & Miles Julian, Vonnie McClung, Bill Riddle, Clark & Suzy Neal.  Team support was provided by DeAnna & Marley Julian and Tiffanie & Cadence McClung.

Group Rides
Group rides leave from Cycle World at 6pm during the week.  Monday and Wednesday rides are tame (16-18 mph avg.) and typically 25-30 miles.  Tuesday and Thursday rides are NOT TAME.  These rides usually average 22-24 mph with attacks, sprints and leg burning breaks.  Right now the loops are 30-35 miles.
